quickly surrendering to the process. With Lisa's support, I let go of any desired outcome — something I was concerned I couldn't do. The movement of the brush and the mix of the colors soon became a flow, an evolving expression of now, now, now. Somewhere between my soul and the paper, I did deep work. Whether you painted in the past, are a painter now, or have never painted before, if you somehow received this e-mail or are looking at a posting of this, you are meant to take this workshop! I promise you this is the Universe putting a doorway in front of you that I encourage you to go through. I recently took Lisa’s Painting From the Soul workshop and honestly had no idea what to expect. I had painted many years ago at a time when I was a very different person. I transitioned completely into traditional photography and altering photographs to the painting I saw that the photograph could be, yet I no longer picked up a paint brush. A few weeks before the workshop I had lost my father who was a brilliant complicated man, and therefore, we had a complicated relationship. I was looking for some healing as the day began and as Lisa had created a wonderful safe sanctuary for the participants, the painting surprisingly started to gush forth. The images that came had great spiritual meaning to me. In the end I named my painting “The Healing,” and it truly was. The workshop also brought me great joy because it was a personal victory that I can paint as the person I am now, which was the direct opposite of the inner judge who had decided that it had been too long for me to start painting again. I have already begun to clear space in my home for a painting area.

The painting from the soul workshop was an
incredible experience! With Lisa's wise guidance, we were given full freedom to express from within. She gently suggested to let go of structure or specific design when we started feeling attached to the outcome, and use a color that was speaking to us or repelling us and try not to judge it... just be with it and let it express. My painting morphed from circles of colors, to a tree of life. Lisa mentioned the idea of going beyond limits, beyond the borders and extend your painting if called to do so. Therefore, I added extra paper and roots started to emerge and grew deeper than my tree above! Blending colors of dark and light like the complex textures of my life containing light and joyful moments with dark and despairing moments. My soul burst forth with its own agenda! What a lovely day! I would recommend it to all who are questing and seeking a deeper connection to themselves..... - Michelle O. |
Painting and dancing with Lisa was a transformative experience for me. In a safe and permissive space, Lisa steadily encouraged me to access parts of myself with no filter, continually supporting my process of asking the painting for what needed to appear. A fierce grace emerged through my painting, I felt totally held in Lisa's strength and clear guidance through this process. I am forever grateful for this experience and look forward to painting with her many times to come! - Joan White-Hansen
